On December 7, 2023, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) published a Federal Register notice for their Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), Drug and Alcohol Testing of Certificated Repair Station Employees Located Outside of the United States

On January 24, 2024, the FAA published a Federal Register notice extending the comment period for the NPRM until April 5, 2024.

We recommend that service agents (e.g., collectors, laboratories, MROs, SAPs and C/TPAs) review the NPRM and, if they have views or concerns to express, provide comment to FAA.

To review the background about the NPRM or provide comments to the docket, visit www.regulations.gov/docket/FAA-2012-1058/document.
